The PC MMO based on the blockbuster-smashing; Middle Earth meddling films (and incredibly written books, of course) are receiving an update.
With the update, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment is including seven new areas in which to get your precious ring rescue on.
Below, I've written brief summaries of the new Lord of the Rings Online additions and what you can do in them:
Thinglad - Spooky forest type. Accurately described as 'a no man's land'. Your job is to lend a helping hand to the sentinels of Lothlórien to delete some Orcs and Wargs from existence. You also have to play the mediator between the Galadhrim and the Rohirrim of Stangard who have been causing conflict during patrols.
Parth Celebrant - Once home to the Battle of the Fields of Celebrant, now home to the ruins of an ancient Gondorian keep, you must 'bring redemption to the traitorous shades' so that the great treason that once befelled the land, can be left in the past.
Eorlsmead - Upon the highest rise in the rolling plains of Eorlsmead, your duty is to boost morale by providing rations to the stationed soldiers whilst helping them keep down enemy forces. You also have to play mediator again by diffusing council conflicts.
Wailing Hills - rocks. Lots of them. On this incredibly steep bit of land, your job is to drive out the Orcs and make them leave the land alone.
Limlight Gorge - the limly lit gorge between the Misty Mountains and the Fangorn forest is where you must hunt 'fearsome' trolls, who are said to think they own the place, now that the sunlight isn't holding them back.
Brown Lands - inhospitable, the brown lands are as brown and barren as can be. Put an end to returning invaders, who are resurfacing despite the Brown-Lands-ravaging war having ended several thousands of years ago.
The Rushgore - marshy and 'treacherous', The Rushgore is where you must aid woodsmen in ousting brigands who aim to reclaim priceless relics of Rohan and Gondor.
