Anyway, for your question the factions do not mean anything besides the fact of who will you will be journeying the rest of your life there with and your outfit/weapon/look. There is not a stamped down profession or job. It depends on what skill you learn during your adventure and what weapon you choose. There are three different types of weapons (12sky2 Gold) for each clan but Sky Clan instead of having a profession. Sky Clan tends to be just a formation of the other three clans.
For example: Snake Clan has the double blade, saber and lute. The lute is mostly for range and the double blade for tanking/pve while the blade excels in damage. You can use a variety of weapons, and choose to switch around, but watch your skills is limited, a wise choice is what you get, although the skill reset is easy to achieve.
